Sales and Office

Tiffany Taylor

Office Manager
Phone: 318-343-1250
Tiffany has been at B&L since March 2017 and has been a huge help in keeping all the guys straight and doing what they are supposed to be doing. She handles all of the warranty filing, new sales paperwork, and paying the bills. She spends most of her off time on the water and with her 2 boys. She has become an avid wakesurfer.

Nick McDonald

General Manager
Phone: 318-343-1250
Nick has grown up at B&L Marine since his grandfather started the dealership and his current boss is his dad, Pat. Nick handles what ever comes through the front door. He is the main pontoon and ski boat salesman, handles some service work by doing the customizing on boats like LEDs and audio, maintains a technician certification in Indmar, Moomba, and Yamaha, and also helps out behind the parts counter fairly often. Nick also has a deep appreciation for the water. He started the Louisiana-Monroe Wakeboarding Team and still coaches them. He also is the collegiate director for the Louisiana Collegiate Wake Tour and hosts events all over the country on the weekends for college wakeboarders. Having spent his whole life at the dealership and on the Ouachita River, Nick knows about everything that you need to know about boats. You can still find him on the water in his new Moomba pretty much every weekend he isn't at a tournament.

Pat McDonald

Phone: 318-343-1250
Pat came to B&L in 1985 to help his father in law, Bill Buckley, with the dealership and has been here ever since. In 1997 he bought B&L Marine from Bill and continues to own and operate it today. He has been salesman to technician, to manager, and now owner. He has really done it all at the dealership. He even still maintains his Yamaha, Mercury and Evinrude certifications. If you want to hear some interesting things about the boat industry, he is the one to ask because as he says, "I know a lot of things because I have seen some crazy things". He still boats a good bit at his camp on Lake Darbonne but would much rather be on one of the Harleys riding around south Louisiana or Arkansas.

David Clark

In Memoriam
David had over 30 years experience in the marine industry as a technician and also as a service manager for 25 years of it. He had been with B&L Marine since 1986. He had been a master tech in Evinrude motors since the late 90's and was still certified in Evinrude, Yamaha, Mercury, Mercruiser, and Indmar motors. David was the go to guy for the hardest to figure out problems on any boat or motor in the water. David left us to be with the Lord on May 31st, 2017. He was an amazing man and great husband, father, and friend. He will be deeply missed by the family at B&L Marine.

Allen Taylor

Service Manager
Phone: 318-343-1250
Allen came to B&L Marine in 2015 after spending time in the oil field as a drilling fluids engineer. There are fast learners, then there is Allen. He spent his first 2 and a half years under the watchful eye of David Clark. In that short time, David managed to turn him into a true mechanic who can handle anything thrown at him. He has quickly risen to manager of the service department due to his attention to detail and ability to handle any situation. In less then 2 years he already has a Yamaha Marine Technician Certification and is currently working on Evinrude, Mercury, and Indmar. He spends the majority of his time, when not at B&L, on the river. Allen enjoys working on his 2014 Moomba Outback V, to update and install all things to make time on the water more enjoyable. But come the weekend, you can't miss that black and lime green Moomba around Moon Lake on the river.

Hank Tran

Marine Technician
Hank has been around the boating industry in Monroe for quite a while now. After being the lead technician at Lihn John's Marine for a long time, he joined the crew at B&L in November of 2017. Hank has had a master mechanic certification with both Evinrude/Johnson and Yamaha at some point in his career. He brings a wealth of knowledge to our service department and allows us to now be able to do in house motor rebuilding.

Justin Jenkins

Rigging Technician
Justin "Bubba" Jenkins has been around the dealership doing outside work on boat detailing for us for a few years. He has decided to take the plunge into the marine industry feet first now though. But Bubba is far from new to boating. He has been helping out at Moon Lake Marina for the past few years doing maintence on some of their house boat and docks. He still lives at the marina and spends almost all of his time on the water.

Parts Department

Lawrence Thomasie

Parts Manager
Phone: 318-343-1250
Lawrence got his start in the boating industry back in the Howard Griffin days in downtown Monroe in the parts department for the largest Evinrude/Johnson dealer in the country at the time. When Howard Griffin shut down in the early 80's, Lawrence moved to Lihn John's Marine as the parts manager for over 20 years. He came to B&L at the start of 2015 to assist long time parts manager David Jacobs. After one year Lawrence moved in to the parts manager role for B&L. He has forgotten more about parts then most of us have ever known and is a huge asset when it comes to finding parts for older motors. He knows a lot of numbers off the top of his head and as a result, if a part can be found Lawrence is the guy to do it.
