Pat came to B&L in 1985 to help his father in law, Bill Buckley, with the dealership and has been here ever since. In 1997 he bought B&L Marine from Bill and continues to own and operate it today. He has been salesman to technician, to manager, and now owner. He has really done it all at the dealership. He even still maintains his Yamaha, Mercury and Evinrude certifications. If you want to hear some interesting things about the boat industry, he is the one to ask because as he says, "I know a lot of things because I have seen some crazy things". He still boats a good bit at his camp on Lake Darbonne but would much rather be on one of the Harleys riding around south Louisiana or Arkansas.

Nick has grown up at B&L Marine since his grandfather started the dealership and his current boss is his dad, Pat. Nick handles what ever comes through the front door. He is the only salesman in the dealership, but enhances the sales experience by being knowledgeable by maintaining technician certifications in Ilmor, Indmar, Mastercraft, and Yamaha. He also helps out behind the parts counter fairly often. He also is our electronics guru by holding a NEMA and Garmin certification. Nick also has a deep appreciation for the water. He started the Louisiana-Monroe Wakeboarding Team and was the collegiate director for the Louisiana Collegiate Wake Tour and hosted events all over the country on the weekends for college wakeboarders. Having spent his whole life at the dealership and on the Ouachita River, Nick knows about everything that you need to know about boats.

Holli is the friendly face you see first when you come to B&L Marine. Even though she has only been here since December 2021, she has already managed to turn herself into the glue that holds the dealership together and feels like part of the family. Which isn't all that surprising since her actual family has been around the dealership for a while between her brother Kaleb, who used to work in service, and her sister Mattie, who was on the ULM Wakeboard team that is sponsored by B&L Marine. She handles all of our paperwork and helps keep Nick and Pat in line. She continues to help anyone she can when you come to the shop by either taking care of customers herself or making sure that the customer gets to talk to the right person in the dealership.

Allen came to B&L Marine in 2015 after spending time in the oil field as a drilling fluids engineer. There are fast learners, then there is Allen. He spent his first 2 and a half years under the watchful eye of David Clark. In that short time, David managed to turn him into a true mechanic who can handle anything thrown at him. He has quickly risen to manager of the service department due to his attention to detail and ability to handle any situation. Allen has marine technician certifications with Yamaha, Mastercraft, Ilmor, Mercruiser, and Indmar. He spends the majority of his time, when not at B&L, on the river. Allen enjoys working on his 2014 Moomba Outback V, to update and install all things to make time on the water more enjoyable. But come the weekend, you can't miss that black and lime green Moomba around Moon Lake on the river.

Hank has been around the boating industry in Monroe for quite a while now. After being the lead technician at Lihn John's Marine for a long time, he joined the crew at B&L in November of 2017. Hank has had a master mechanic certification with both Evinrude/Johnson and Yamaha at some point in his career. He brings a wealth of knowledge to our service department and allows us to now be able to do in house motor rebuilding.

Jennifer is a new face here at B&L Marine. She started with us in July of 2022 and we are excited to have someone with such an extensive background in parts department management. She has spent the last several years running the parts department and being a service writer at Empire Trucking in Monroe. She has been super hands on with mechanical things her entire life. She has made pretty short work of transitioning into the marine field of parts. We are eager to see how well she can fill in as Lawrance retires and leaves some big shoes to fill.
